I received the message below from the Charity Commission. It is of course impossible to know what their decision will be given their previous records which is one of attacking left-wing and Muslim charities but steering clear of taking action against right-wing and Zionist charities.
E.g. a few years ago they refused to take any action against the Jewish National Fund, one of the main pillars of apartheid in the Israeli state.
Nonetheless there are important differences between the JNF and the CAA. The former is a very quiet, secretive charity, not one that loudly and brashly attacks all before it, acting as a propaganda organisation. It may be difficult, given the CAA's tactics to brush this off so easily. That is why I am asking you to make sure not only that you have signed but to share this on social media and get whoever you can to sign.
CAA have been foremost amongst those leading the witch hunt of socialists and anti-Zionists inside and outside the Labour Party. Malakha Mohammed at Exeter University was but the latest target. Rebecca Massey from Hove CLP was an earlier victim as have been Jackie Walker and myself. The petition I put up now has over 1,600 signatures. Let's double that in the final week.
