On the 31st of May this year when the Australian Senate sits in Canberra, Grandparent & Kinship carers across Australia are urged to send a Purple –for carers- & Yellow – for kinkids- flower to be delivered to the steps of Parliament house. We will no longer be the silent majority of carers of vulnerable children in Australia. We are the voice of these children, we have their best interests as our priority, and we deserve to be respected and acknowledged and financially supported, as we are part of the solution. We need the public to realise things are not equitable, and the children need change NOW for them to reach their full potential. The general public can get behind this event by buying flowers to be delivered to the steps of parliament.
