I love you enough to keep you from foster care. I love you enough to change my life for you. I love you enough to hold you close As you cry your sad tears. I love you enough to tell you That Mummy and Daddy love you. When they have failed you. I love you enough to smile and be silly When my heart is just as broken as yours. I love you enough to make sure you are safe and secure. I love you enough to make sure You have all the snacks you love. I love you enough to make you sure you know That I love you. I will love you enough to make sure That you get to visit Mummy, And your siblings. I love you enough that I will never, ever Say bad things about Mummy, or let you know how I really feel about her failures. Because you love her, and you always will. And because I love you enough, I will hold onto my wisdom. I love you enough to make sure you study And get good grades. I love you enough to make sure you and your clothes are clean. I love you enough to teach you To be responsible for you. To do your chores, and to be kind to all you meet. I love you enough to teach you prayers Because God knows I have prayed so often for you. I love you enough to be the Ma you need for me to be. I love you enough to teach you That life is about choices. I love you enough, my dear sweet Granddaughter To hold you close and tell you that it's ok. I pray someday you will know I love you enough.-xx- Jen Lane Bloomfield
