I can understand children being removed from an unsafe environment, drug affected, abuse (verbal, physical or otherwise), or mentally unstable but when that happens the authorities place that child into what is deemed as a safe and stable environment with a carer often at short notice. This does not always work out as no one has a crystal ball. However after years (yes years) of caring for that child (meeting milestones, thriving and well adjusted considering) I cannot understand how the word of one worker or the dysfunctional biological parent can warrant the removal of a child from the only safe and stable home environment that they have ever known.
