Jul 17, 2017
We are delighted that our voices are finally being heard. Thank you @Tesco for listening to #ActuallyAutistic people and promptly dropping the controversial 'Locked in for Autism' campaign. Thank you to @CaudwellKids for suspending your campaign. We would now like to work with you towards your goal of raising awareness and acceptance of autism. Providing effective support to Autistic children and their families. In a truly authentic and respectful way. Last but not least, a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the #notlockedin campaign, and to those who have been working towards this outcome over the last few years. As a worldwide community of Autistic people we have done ourselves proud. Thanks to you we are one small step closer to a world that embraces #Neurodiversity and truly values #Autistic people in all their glorious forms. Let's keep moving forward together.
