As some of you may already know, Waverly Woods is a strong-hold for Red-headed Woodpeckers. The Red-headed Woodpecker is now listed as Threatened under the Species at Risk Act for Canada and as Special Concern under Ontario's Endangered Species Act. The population is declining. You can help by responding to Environment and Climate Change Canada's request for input for their proposed recovery strategy.
