Stop Massive Toxic Pollution Created by US Forest Service Burn Smoke

Today, dangerous and toxic forest burn smoke and heat generation continues to degrade the health and environment of millions of California and Nevada Sierra range residents as well as our visitors, pets, ranches, wildlife, recreation and commerce - in connection with USFS purposely grown Ferguson, Donnell and Lion fires near Yosemite.

This photo taken today shows toxic smoke clouding the Eastern Sierra slope and valleys near Carson City and Minden, Nevada adjacent to the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Containment doesn't mean its over......Even after these fires are declared "contained" they are steered to burn up to USFS created box and burn perimeters. Extended burn out operations and smoldering may result in weeks or months of extended smoke and heat generation, and human suffering in the region.
