Legislation Passed Congress!!

We are thrilled to announce that Congress passed our legislation today authorizing a Congressional Commission to develop a feasible plan for the creation of a National Women’s History Museum!!! This is an integral step in our efforts to build a Museum on or near the National Mall here in Washington, DC. The House version of the legislation was included in the Department of Defense Authorization package, which passed out of the House last week and cleared the Senate late this afternoon. We are delighted to have reached this goal, and we look forward to the President signing the Bill into law and the Commission’s formation. This is the FIRST museum Commission that will be privately funded - this means we are not getting one cent from the federal government; we will need to raise the money.
