Firepool-Proposed walking and cycling Boulevard

The good outcome from this petition and presenting it to Taunton Deane Borough Council, is that the council have agreed that cyclists will be accommodated as part of the plan. So thank you for the fantastic support that we received in this issue.

You may have read that the Council are now looking for new development partners on the project. The Boulevard concept, linking the upgraded railway station towards the town centre, is still a key component. Works on the railway station are expected to start in March 2018 and include 150 new cycle parking spaces. Taunton Area Cycling Campaign will continue to keep a close eye.
