Big news! This week Target announced that it will start to provide paid family leave for both full-time AND part-time employees. I’m excited to see Target starting to move in the right direction on paid family leave, especially for part-time employees! But the truth is, four weeks is not nearly enough time.
#WeExpectMore from Target. Studies show that at least 6 months of paid family leave is optimal for maternal and child health—Target is missing that mark.
This week is Target’s annual shareholder meeting, where they’ll be announcing the billions in revenue they made last year, and expect to make this year. Over 55,000 of you have signed this petition, driving Target’s new policy decision. Let’s keep raising our voices so Target executives feel the pressure to make the real change needed to give their employees the paid leave they need and deserve. Please share this petition on Facebook and Twitter TODAY and tag @Target so their shareholders and executives see that #WeExpectMore.
