Construct Peace Dismantle war- Peace Thursdays Forum 14 April 2022 Brussels

Peace is the moral imperative of our time and the surest way to protect future generations from the scourge of war.

The war still rages on as the arsonist protagonists keep pouring gasoline into the fire of the conflict with an unprecedented illicit spread of weaponry and large sums of money for the war effort. Business is booming for the military-industrial complex, massively capitalizing on a huge bonanza.  Meanwhile, zombie parliaments trigger happy wannabe cowboys with bow-ties. A complete lack of foresight is, fanning the flames of this high-intensity strife with a complete lack of foresight. 

Peace is possible and the only guarantor of a more stable world and a safer planet.

A real Peace means a moral agreement that considers the legitimate grievances of both parties. A true Peace that puts the final nail in the coffin of lingering resentment and closes the doors for a relapse into conflict and the potential for vengeance. In a theatre mired with numerous nuclear reactors, dozens of facilities farming the most lethal viruses, bacteria and dangerous chemical substances, the potential for an accidental armageddon with ripple effects 

Too high to ignore. 

There is still time to stop the bloodshed and put on the table a viable principle negotiated agreement.

The fierce urgency of now, as MLK rightly put it, warrants that we demand Peace. Indeed we want Peace, and we want it Now!
