Hi all (Supporters of WA Comedy and Comedy fans),
Since we launched the petition we are fast approaching 200 signatures (A good target would be at least 1000 signatures which is very achievable). I would feel comfortable presenting that figure to key decision-makers like: The Minister for Arts, DLGSC and Tourism WA etc
So if you could share our petition link on your social media it will get us to 1000 much quicker.
THANK YOU! to everyone who has signed and shared our petition to get the much needed funding support for the WA Comedy Industry. I also didn't realize some of you donated money to help it get promoted more on change.org which is hugely appreciated. We have since put in $500 of our own money to show we are serious!
We have also done interviews on ABC radio and 6PR radio which were super positive. Both radio hosts objectively went over our petition and were clearly siding with the WA Comedy Industry. Its a no brainer that it should be supported.
Sometimes people can hang back supporting things like this in case they don't succeed and they feel like failures, but I can assure you all - this campaign is a WIN WIN for the WA Comedy Industry.
This is the first time this matter has ever been publically brought up with any proper force and energy behind it.
When it's all over - we look forward to sharing a big laugh with you all. That's what we do best.
