The Santa Clara Family Law Community has some good lawyers, some good CPAs and some good custody experts. But it also has some very, very bad ones, as shown by last week's indictment of Valerie Houghton and her Intero Real Estate agent husband. After a blog posting, and posting on this petition, Santa Clara activists and media outlets were contacted by over 1500 people speaking out about more connections to the Houghtons and family law corruption. Good lawyers were surprised, but are speaking out to tell what they know and what they have experienced, and many more ' dirty ' family law bad actors are being thrown into the SPOTLIGHT as a result. Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen appears to have filed the indictment at the same time that activism and media attention on family court issues involving divorce, custody and probate issues are at an all time high. Media pressure may be the swing straw after an investigative team recently came to town. Shame on the San Jose Mercury and other media outlets for not covering these issues sooner.
