Progress is happening! Legislators are reviewing our bill — Senator Marie Pinkney has already responded and is looking it over. Why it matters: • 500+ Delaware kids went into foster care in 2022 — many due to misunderstood mental health needs like Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). • Foster care & institutions cost the state $100k–$150k per child each year, while training would cost only a fraction of that. • Training works: evidence-based practices like TF-CBT, PCIT, and ABC keep families stable and children safe. The HOPE through Training Act will: ✅ Require training for DFS workers, family court staff & providers. ✅ Use proven, trauma-informed, attachment-focused care. ✅ Prevent unnecessary separations & save taxpayer money. We’re gaining traction — but lawmakers need to see that Delaware families support this change. Every signature and share makes a difference. 💙💛 #HOPEthroughTrainingAct #KeepFamiliesTogether #ChildWelfareReform
