Hello everyone,
Tomorrow is the expulsion hearing. We are currently over 300 signatures on the petition! There is an obvious outpouring of support for the Plank family in this community. Not only do we believe she is innocent, but it also seems obvious that the sudden punishment after 18 months is not really related to any threat or danger that she poses (she does not).
The expulsion meeting is Friday at 12:30. It is not open to the public. However, you have a legal right to stand on the sidewalk holding a sign that shows your support for the Planks. Obviously if you do this kind of thing you should do it peacefully and remember that we are the good guys, standing in support of an innocent girl and a family that faces real persecution because of their righteous stand.
I am going to forward this petition to the entire school board tonight so they all have a chance to see it before the meeting tomorrow. Please pass it around one more time to all your friends!
In Addition
Over the weekend, Superintendent Doll unilaterally extended the suspension beyond the original ten days. There is no real protocol for this action of his. The board did not review it and was not even notified of it. He simply did it himself over the weekend and alerted the Planks that she could not come back for five extra days. Their daughter is the best tennis player in the county, and probably beyond the county, but the team rules require her to attend a certain number of practices in order to be eligible for the season. If she had only been suspended for the original ten days she could still have joined the team. But with this additional five days that Doll added she is now disqualified for the entire season. This will leave a gap in her high school transcript and future colleges and tennis opportunities will absolutely notice it. No reason was given for the extra five day suspension and the board was not even told about it.
Remember:
- If this young lady is innocent, then all these punishments are unjust, and the person who actually wrote the threats on her desk is still there, and still a threat.
- If she is guilty (I do not believe for a second that she is) then the school administrators were dangerously negligent by allowing her to attend school for the past two years and recruiting her as a mentor for younger students.
- Her good behavior for the past two years reinforces point one above.
Either way, the school administrators have failed to protect their students
Here is your homework for the next 24 hours.
- Forward this petition one last time and get more signatures!
- Make a sign and stand in support of the Plank family outside the school on Friday around noon, so all board members can see you on their way inside.
- Contact the school board members and tell them to support the Planks.
- Pray for justice and righteousness to prevail and all forms of evil to be exposed.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Thank you all for your hard work in loving your neighbors, standing up for what is right, and defending the innocent! Keep it up!
