Just a week out from lodging his final arguments against extradition, Aussie citizen and father of six Dan Duggan has written a powerful poem from behind prison bars, expressing his hope that truth and love will win out against raw global politics. Please help the Duggans fight for freedom and justice, and convince our Government to stand up for their Australian family by making a donation here today:https://www.mycause.com.au/p/350423/free-dan-duggan-road-trip-campaign
After almost 22 months in maximum security with no local charges and against a backdrop of ugly AUKUS politics, the first part of Dan’s poem Love Trumps Power will be published on the family’s website later today, speaking to Dan’s love for his six children, and for his wife Saffrine who spends every spare moment travelling the countryside, garnishing support for the family’s fight for justice.
Dan writes:
“Is it to be Power or Love that will win the day?
In a “David v Goliath” battle, a family embroiled in geo-political fray …
The children’s Love is beautiful, kind, warm, infinite, from all six,
Power is often ugly, nasty, cold, secret, enough to make you sick.
In solitude thought of ‘laughter silvered wings’, he ‘dances the skies’
His heart soaring as he dreams of his wife’s loving eyes …”
The Duggan’s legal team, with help from researchers, experts and paralegals are now finalising the submission for the Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus that will be lodged in Canberra late next week, explaining the injustice, political motivation, complete lack of evidence and facts, and the way in which the US is extending itself into Australia and compromising our sovereignty.
As we approach the submission date, please show the government that you care. Demonstrate your support by writing letters and posting photos of yourself on social media demanding justice the Duggans, with the hashtags #FreeDanDuggan #Justice4Dan #Justice4AussieDan #DugganFamilyReunion #FreeCitizenDan #CitizenDan. Hold up a message about what you stand for on this issue e.g. I stand for 'a fair go' or I stand ‘with the Duggans’ or I stand for ‘Australian sovereignty’.
Once again, thank you for your support. It brings Dan and family comfort to know that you are fighting with them.
