TIPPUTS ADDED TO THE REGISTER FOR ASSETS OF COMMUNITY VALUE BY SDC In a decision made on the 9th of July Stroud District Council added the Tipputs to the Register for Assets of Community Value. This decision pauses the sale of the pub to either Ruskin Mill or any party looking at a change of use for a period of 6 months whilst the community continue to work on a business case and funding to purchase the pub. Chris Stevens confirmed “The pubs campaigners and local community are delighted that Stroud District Council has accepted our application. We have a number of interested parties and feel very positive that our efforts will be rewarded. It would be great to see the Tipputs open its doors again and we are all committed to seeing this happen”. To celebrate the decision a number of locals have got together and a party is planned for this Friday 18th July. “The Q8 Bar” as it has affectionately become known will be open for business at the old Q8 Petrol Station on the A46, next to the Tipputs. The aim is to generate money to help pay for the work needed to complete the business plan. As well as a selection of well-priced Lager, Cider, Beer, Wines and Spirits a BBQ will provide sustenance in the form of local Beef Burgers and Sausages. Please come and support the cause by purchasing a very reasonably priced burger and beer. The bar opens at 5pm
