On August 27, 2025, I officially filed my appeal after the court denied my motion for a preliminary injunction. This means the fight is now moving into the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, where precedent and constitutional standards carry even greater weight.
This case has always been about more than just me. It’s about striking down California’s unconstitutional CCW scheme that replaced “good cause” with vague, subjective “good moral character” screenings, intrusive reference checks, and profit-driven training requirements. These barriers transform a right into a privilege — and that’s not what the Second Amendment allows.

I’m honored to share that Attorney Cam Atkinson is stepping up to support me in this battle. Cam has already shown himself to be one of the few attorneys in California willing to stand up to the system, and now he’s working to help strengthen my case as it moves forward.
