Cruel snares killing thousands of innocent animals

Protect the Wild
Jan 31, 2022

A petition has been set up by Animal Aid calling for the Government to prohibit the sale, use and manufacture of free-running snares under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, putting them in the same category as self-locking snares, which are already illegal.

These cruel contraptions are indiscriminate and cause unnecessary suffering to wildlife such as foxes, badgers and rabbits, as well as domestic animals such as dogs and cats.

Please sign the petition to ban the use of free running snares.

To further fuel this campaign, the image attached is David Sneade. He snares and bludgeons hundreds of foxes every year so he can sell their fur for profit.  This is happening in the UK and it is entirely legal.

Sign the petition to ban the use of free-running snares.
