Research is being done by the AHDB into why non muslims dont approve of halal. The AHDB is The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is a statutory levy board, funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain and managed as an independent organisation (independent of both commercial industry and of Government). Hull University Business School has actually researched into how to overcome this, the link to this is at the top of this development message. They use the word 'acculturation', which according to the cambridge dictionary, means the ​process of ​changing so that you ​become more like ​people from a different ​culture, or of making someone ​change in this way. I find it extremely offensive that this research is being carried out. More, the AHDB has announced plans to launch a programme of activity emphasising the importance of the halal sector to the meat industry. Apparently this isnt enough, as halal operators in the uk boycotted the conference over concerns on how the levy is spent .. they dont approve of red tractor having money spent on it as it doesnt support halal.
