Have you wondered if you have Crazy Cookers, Conspiracy theorists, Non Residents, Non Ratepayers, Fake Independents, Loose Cannons, Propaganda Parrots, Hypocrites and more running as Candidates for 2024 Liverpool Council Election.

Liverpool Council is separated into two wards – North and South.
AS there has been no official candidate review that is readily accessible (that I am aware of) so I have put together my own personal review of the candidates from my knowledge and interaction with them.

There are 10 MAYORAL Candidates in Ballot paper Order and my TOP 3 are
1) Michael Andjelkovic Independent Community Campaigner which is me. Of course I have a biased opinion however I believe that I have the experience and connections at both State and Federal Government Levels to be a good Independent Mayor of Liverpool.
2) Peter Harle who has been a Councillor for 16 years and is considered to be the elder Statesman of Liverpool City Council with a wealth of Knowledge and Experience.
3) Betty Green Phd, who has been a Councillor since December 2021 and has a steady nature. While I don't agree with all her party policies we can at least sit and have a civilised discussion about various issues, something that is not possible to do with some other councillors or candidates.

My suggested preferences from 4 to 10 on my HTV card are based on the above criteria also, candidates 9 and 10 I have never met and do not know.
As far as the Councillor Candidates I will only consider the first candidate for Minor parties and the top 2 candidates for Liberal and Labor Party Candidates

LIBERTARIAN PARTY
Gemma Noiosi North Ward and Victor Tey South Ward
I like both Gemna and Victor as individuals and have spoken to both of them at the Libertarian Party meetings that I have attended.
I don't agree with all their party policies and platforms but we can agree to disagree and have conversations.
I am disappointed that the Libertarian Party is preferening the Liberal Party in Liverpool however that is their thing Australia wide, they ALWAYS Preference the Liberal Party above Labor even if there are allegations of corruption, cronyism and maladministration about to be investigated.

The Independent Community Campaigner who has been actively campaigning and advocating for issues in our Community for since 2016, fulltime since March 2018.

Has helped to secure $350 million dollars worth of funding for various infrastructure projects in the area.

LIBERAL PARTY
SOUTH WARD Candidates
Ned Mannoun and Fiona MacNaught are the current Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Liverpool.
Both have ignored my emails and the Mayor of Liverpool has alleged that I have been blocked from sending emails due to "racist correspondence" where he had a legal fighting fund approved by Council to defend my Concerns Notice for alleged defamation which is still pending.
NORTH WARD Candidates
Richard Ammoun and Mathew Harte
Richard Ammoun is a current Councillor and propaganda parrot has 2 years experience of sharing the Mayor of Liverpool's FB posts and FB posts about Festivals.
Matthew HARTE is a Non Resident lives in Peakhurst Heights, A member of the Young Liberals he was the Mayor of Liverpool's Campaign Manager in 2021, and Member for Holsworthy's campaign manager in 2023 , currentky employed by Ms Ayyad AKA Mrs Mannoun.

SOUTH WARD Candidates
Peter Ristevski is a former Councillor and Deputy Mayor of Liverpool. An accountant he has the experience however there is a bit of animosity between himself and Mayor of Liverpool due to past isdues when they were both in the Liberal Party.
NORTH WARD Candidate
Florina Nero - I can't comment as I have never met this person.
LABOR PARTY
SOUTH WARD Candidates
Betty Green PhD is a current Councillor and has been a resident in the Miller area for many years.
Ethan Monaghan is member of Young Labor who has been involved in the Labor Party for at least the last two elections that I am aware of.
NORTH WARD Candidates
Sam Karnib son of Ali Karnib a longtime councillor. Samir Karnib is a newcomer looking to secure a spot in the North Ward. He is the director and principal solicitor of Karnib & Co Lawyers law firm

SOUTH WARD Candidate
Deb Gurang is from the Nepalese community and has a ex military background. Seems like a nice bloke from the 3 or so meetings we have had so far.
The QUESTIONABLE INDEPENDENTS
SOUTH WARD CANDIDATE
Karress Rhodes is a current Councillor who is a Non Resident that has used a loophole in the regulations. to be able to become a candidate. She aligned with the Liberal Party and provided the 6th vote necessary create a Liberal party voting block majority.
My position is that only residents and Ratepayers of Liverpool who of a Council should be allowed to run as Councillors and with 150,000 registered voters Liverpool should have more than enough candidates to choose from.
NORTH WARD Candidate
Tony Estaphan is a former Liberal Party Candidate in the 2021 Council Elections
With the number 2 preferences being directed to the Liberal Party and the close connections I have to question how Independent this group really is.

Chriss Moore has been an advocate against gambling and poker machines for many years .
