BARRY COUNTY VOTES TO RESCIND RESOLUTION TO KILL SWANS

Great news today. Barry County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to rescind their resolutions to kill all the mute swans on their lakes. You can watch the podcast here. If you scroll midway through, you can bypass the rest of the meeting. Thanks to Julie and Mary and their group for their hard work getting the other side of the story out there to the Townships. We in Oakland County wrote the commissioners and called some of the Townships, but as most of you know, if you don't live there, they don't really care. This was a huge victory, but I'm sure there will be residents going to their Townships to get their swans removed. We must still keep our guard up and continue to spread the word >>> that our Michigan DNR does not have the best interest of our wildlife at heart and they do not care what the general public has to say about our wildlie or our natural resources, unless of course, we come with a bag of dough.
