However, Sea turtles in Curaçao are continuing to being fed, touched and chased, and it’s changing how they behave.

As nesting season wraps up, feeding at popular spots like Playa Piskádo (aka Playa Grandi & Turtle Beach) in Westpunt remains a real problem. So we’ve put together a complete guide to sharing the water responsibly with Curaçao’s three threatened sea turtle species.

• Never feed or touch
• Stay 2–3 metres away and keep their path to the surface clear
• Watch for marked nests on the beach (May–December)
• Choose tour operators that never bait turtles
