🪵One year ago today, our Christmas holidays were hijacked as we watched helplessly and hopelessly as chainsaws once again ripped through Lemay Forest causing trauma to nature and to the people fighting to protect it.

☃️This holiday season is a completely different story because, together we all #SavedLemayForest! 😀 

📕We thought it would be fitting to close another Lemay Forest chapter: our online petition. 

🥰We have immense gratitude to all 7,147 of you who took the time to sign our petition! We shared your comments (anonymously) in our dozens of presentations at city hall, the Municipal Board Public Hearings and in countless emails to elected officials.  Your voices made a difference in raising awareness about the need to protect culturally significant and environmentally sensitive land. 🤩 

📣We hope that this win inspires you to continue to raise your voice, to stand up for what is right, because TOGETHER we made a difference for nature, biodiversity, climate resiliency, sacred spaces for the next generations and for trying to do truth and reconciliation right.🍃🌳🦅🦊🦌🦉🦇🦫🐿️
