Fellow Canon Customers
As many of you will already be aware, Canon have today released Firmware 1.1.0 for the Canon R5!
According to a Canon statement on NewsShooter, ‘The effect of the new firmware addresses consumer concerns around repeated shooting capabilities and the need for improved cooling while switched on. We have and will continue to be transparent about recording limits for the EOS R5 and are confident that the camera performs to stated specifications.’

Technically, today's firmware update satisfies the reasonable demands of this first 30-day petition but how do you feel about it?
You may want to take the weekend digest the effects of the new firmware which are being tested at https://www.eoshd.com/ and elsewhere before downloading the firmware yourself.
When you are ready to tell us how you feel, please take a moment to complete the following three-question survey:
https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7PTZCRG
1. Are you satisfied that the Canon R5 firmware update 1.1.0 addresses your concerns?
Yes
No
2. Do you wish to continue to petition Canon or declare this petition a victory?
Continue Petition
End Petition
3. Would you like to be contacted by third parties about taking further consumer action against Canon?
Yes
No
If you have already purchased the R5 and chose Yes to Question 3 please send your contact details to CanonCustomers@gmail.com
If you wish to continue to petition Canon, then please continue to share this campaign with more people - we're now just short of the 200 signature goal (thank you!) but would need much more support to pressure Canon to release a further firmware update, especially within the 30-day demand of this petition!
