November 10th is the last date to submit comment letters to Oppose the Strada Blast Quarry application. The best place to do this is through our letter writing app on our website www.juststopit.ca Easy and straightforward….

You can also write your letter through the ERO https://ero.ontario.ca/notice/025-1005 (ERO). 

We recommend you write a Comment Letter  through our website because
- The Applicant is required to contact the sender and attempt to satisfy their concerns
- if the sender is not satisfied, the Ministry must be notified that the objection stands
- the unsatisfied sender has standing (the right to participate) in an eventual Ontario Land Tribunal Hearing in connection with the issue(s) raised and unsatisfied.

By writing your letter the Ministry will be aware of the concerns and they will factor them into the Ministry's decision to refer the case to the Ontario Land Tribunal (a very strong likelihood in this case).  However, if you write a letter through the ERO, the applicant is not obliged to contact the sender or to attempt to satisfy their concerns.  The sender gains no standing to participate in the OLT process with the ERO. 

This is why we suggest using our letter app on our website www.juststopit.ca It is set up to send your letter to all the appropriate recipients, plus you can add on additional email recipients if you wish. This needs to be done by November 10th
