Attention Advocates: On June 25th the House Judiciary Committee had a hearing on Criminal Justice Reform. At this hearing, a Bill was submitted that would directly affect our cause if passed. The "SAFE Justice Act" (H.R. 2944) has a "Provision Regarding Sentencing" that would give judges the discretion to "ignore/disregard drug quantities or firearms that were included in fictitious stash-house reverse-stings by an informant or undercover officer". The Bill has 22 co-sponsors (11 Republicans & 11 Democrats). What we need now is a push to help it pass. So we're encouraging everyone to use the Link below to write the U.S. Representative from your state, and ask then to co-sponsor H.R. 2944.
