A Guttenberg woman died after she was struck by a bus in Fairview on Wednesday morning, authorities said. 

The 57-year-old was hit by an NJ Transit bus at Anderson and Fairview avenues at about 6:45 a.m., said Paul Milo, an NJ Transit spokesman. 

The victim was identified by Fairview police as Teresa Maresca.

The Cresskill-bound bus was making a left turn onto Fairview Avenue when Maresca was hit by the rear driver's-side wheel of the bus, Milo said. She was pronounced dead on the scene, Police Chief Martin Kahn said.
