Today I’m feeling both emotional and encouraged. Since I first shared my story, more people have come forward to say they’ve experienced the same kind of bias — being punished, judged, or labeled for following medical guidance and being honest about mental health.
I’m not giving up. I’ve done everything right. I went through the process, passed my boards, sought help, and continue to comply — yet I’m treated differently than nurses on prescription medications that are far more impairing than THC.
This isn’t just about me; it’s about fairness, truth, and compassion in our healthcare system. I believe God gave me this voice for a reason — to speak for those who can’t, to remind people that healing is not weakness, and to fight for second chances.
