SUNSHINE COAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

The Sunshine Coast Airport is now OFFICIALLY designated as an international airport - this means that annual approval for trans-Tasman flights is no longer required - and one can surmise that new international destinations are also being considered. It has been brought to my attention that people may mistake this petition as one that targets helicopter air traffic. This is NOT the case. A curfew at the Sunshine Coast Airport will mean restrictions for all craft - planes and helicopters. In the face of increasing air traffic to and from the Sunshine Coast, this curfew is essential for ALL of us who live on the Coast, not just those who live in the nearest suburbs.
