The Gloucester elver (baby eel) merchant who wanted to send baby eels to Russia is believed to have  been holding an estimated 3 million baby eels in his tanks for almost a month now. They must be slowly starving. We think he is hoping that he can force the environment agency to grant him an export permit; we want them put back where they belong in the River Severn before they die. asking him why this is being allowed. Enough emails and he will have to end the 'hostage' situation .
