Clive Gracey is a well-established photographer who has lived in Oman for more than 30 years. He produced a photography book on an old settlement in Oman and agreed to have it published through Max Scott. A wealthy Omani patron sponsored the cost of publishing and printing the book and she paid Max Scott around $10,000 to do so. Max Scott took the money but never produced the book.

Clive Gracey is a professional photographer who has lived in the Sultanate of Oman for more than thirty years, during which time he has devoted much effort to recording various elements of the country’s rich architectural, cultural and environmental heritage.

Clive’s work focuses on documenting the traditional vernacular adobe and stone architecture of Oman’s villages, as well as the now-extinct folk-art forms of the painted ceilings, painted interiors and carved and painted wooden doors.

A few years ago, Clive dedicated a considerable amount of his time on producing a photography book on a specific old settlement in Oman and agreed to have it published through Max Scott. A wealthy Omani patron sponsored the cost of publishing and printing the book and she paid Max Scott around $10,000 to do so.

Max Scott took the money but never produced the book. When Clive demanded answers, Max Scott responded with promises he never kept but eventually stopped responding all together.
