Another 'Humanoid Robot' Disaster

Recently, a video was released – linked below – depicting engineers chaotically being flailed at, or “attacked,” by their humanoid robot creation. This calamity is a predictable one (and has happened before), but is nevertheless alarming – and existentially ridiculous. Each level at which this video can be analyzed yields another, serious dilemma – and we can no more easily intuit the legalities of humanoid robots harming humans as, say, discern “who made this video – and how did it get onto our newsfeeds?”  We need a deep, rich human culture to contextualize these tools and events – and it simply won’t be enough to establish a maze of ‘laws’ and ‘regulations.’ Even if our best, current resort is to be able to declare “stop humanoid robots from mass production” and have that effectively stop their dissemination, then that would be some indication we are in control and self-aware as we pursue this peculiar automation project.
