I have recently been informed of DuPage County's decision to no longer allow Willowbrook Wildlife Center to rehabilitate raccoons. I cannot in good conscience continue to support the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County knowing that they hold so little respect for our native animals. Not only will this policy impact the wildlife of DuPage County, but it will have a ripple effect throughout surrounding counties and neighboring public and independent rehabbers. Most importantly, you are losing support in your community. As an Illinois citizen, I urge you to reverse this policy and once again allow Willowbrook to admit raccoons.
