For those of you unfamiliar with the Flinders Mines situation, New Zealand's Todd Corporation gained a majority stake in ASX listed Flinders and then took control of the Board. They attempted two takeovers and when those didn't work then they tried to delist the company. As this was all going on they were downplaying the whole company making it appear worthless.  Due to some good research shareholders found out the Board were all the time doing deals with the WA State Government and a Chinese company for a huge project up in the Pilbara yet they were keeping shareholders in the dark and trying to delist the company which would have made it easy for the Board to give full control of the company to Todd for a pittance paid to shareholders.  Flinders Shareholders have been fighting this dishonest board ever since.  Below is a response from Treasury to shareholder Ernest Odey.  It basically says "'Get Stuffed - We are the Big End of town and we do what we want"  White collar fraud in Australia has now become legitimised at the highest level of governance.
