Petition Update: New Evidence — It’s Not About Plants, It’s Logistics
Dear Supporters,

We have clear evidence that the existing tanks and the proposed 6.6 million-litre reservoir at Tamar Nurseries are not just for irrigating plants — but part of a larger logistics and commercial water storage operation.

📌 Key facts:

🔹 Over 6 million litres are already stored on-site in three industrial tanks
🔹 Public claims say there are 4 tanks storing 20 million litres, but no planning documents declare this
🔹 The applicant applied to remove 2 tanks, but retained 3 — and now wants another 6.6 million litres
🔹 No abstraction licence, Drainage Impact Assessment, or transparency provided

None of this infrastructure was disclosed in the current planning application.

Worse still, a local nursery no longer owns the land, but by Fountain Foods — a commercial group with a clear record of turning rural greenfield sites into logistics hubs and housing estates.

⚠️ This is not a nursery expansion — it is the quiet industrialisation of rural land under the cover of “horticulture.”

⛔ We’re calling for an immediate pause until:
The site is reclassified as commercial infrastructure
All undeclared infrastructure is properly reviewed
Biodiversity losses (including a felled willow and hedgerow) are formally acknowledged
Enforcement action is taken on all unauthorised works
This is a material misrepresentation — and it must be treated as such. Let’s stop this industrial land grab disguised in the language of plants.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted objections so far. Your voice truly matters, and your action is making a difference. Let’s keep the momentum going and create a wave of accountability.

Suggested objection text:

I object to this application based on misrepresentation, unauthorised infrastructure, and the site’s intensification for logistics. The planning application omits existing tanks, fails to disclose commercial ownership, and provides no Drainage Impact Assessment or biodiversity acknowledgement. This is no longer a nursery — it is a logistics site
