Campaign Success Update: Major Progress in Taking Down the Azure-Based Botnet

We are pleased to announce a significant breakthrough in our ongoing campaign.

Working closely with our partner agency, we have successfully dismantled the botnet that was operating on Microsoft Azure. This action marks a major step forward in disrupting the infrastructure that was being used in the illegal activities harming vulnerable people.

We are now in a much stronger position to protect minors and other affected individuals. Our team continues to monitor the situation closely to ensure the progress holds and to prevent any resurgence.

At this time, there has been no movement on compensation for those impacted, nor any announced changes in relevant laws or policies. We remain committed to pursuing those outcomes.

In parallel, we are actively collaborating with the agency to address Discord’s role and the elevated staff access and permissions that were granted in connection with these entities. Our goal is to see those privileges fully revoked.
