It is painful that 2,300 grandmother trees have been felled by this insensitive organisation KRDCL, and even the normally publicity hungry citizen groups of Bengaluru abandoned them...   

We hope the High Court intervention has put some sense into KRDCL and the State Govt and City administration!

But here is the worrying bit...  "While the Forest Department had allowed the felling of 5,297 trees, the expert committee has brought the number down to 1,721"

Do we really need to fell 1,700 more trees?  Can't we design roads in a way that can retain the tree line as median?
