Last night, Billingshurst Parish Council voted to defer felling the two Sister Oaks while they obtain further information 

We are very pleased with how the Parish Council voted 

The group put forward some strong arguments that the documents the Parish Council has are outdated and inadequate 
We also provided evidence that there are likely to be bat roosts in the trees 

It has also become clear now to the parish council that if they vote to chop down the trees, Save Billi Oaks will take out an injunction

So many people attended the meeting,  there weren't enough chairs. We had to find more

So thank you to everyone who turned up to support the trees, who has signed this petition (or shared it), who has donated to the crowd justice or sent messages of support 

We will wait to hear back from the Parish Council and, if need be, will use every tool at our disposal to continue to save the Billingshurst Sisters
