Saturday was a huge success. Numbers were down but the amazing people who came along were brilliant. I believe many people will not support my efforts because I’m not vegan. I will not back down to appease some people though. If they cannot see that this is a step in the right direction for animals, then that is theirs to own, not mine.
There were so many flyers handed out and a lot of interested members of the public. I believe Saturday was the best day so far and hopefully the next one will be be even better. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO COULD MAKE IT, I CANNOT DO THIS ALONE - BUT IF I HAD TO, I WOULD.
The T Shirts proved popular, I sold out of S- M- L, and I’ve ordered more. They look amazing, I’m so happy with them.
Last week news came through that sheep will no longer be exported during The Middle East summer AND yesterday the latest news is they will make a decision in January about whether sheep will stop being Live Exported all together. While this is great news, still it’s not the ultimate goal. WE THE PEOPLE WANT NO ANIMAL TO BE EXPORTED LIVE FROM AUSTRALIA TO ANYWHERE. So while we have a Christmas break I cannot stop thinking of all those animals who will be exported.
I am considering doing another awareness/protest day the first weekend in March, I’d apply for Town Hall again, this spot proved to be far better than Pitt St Mall and Martin Place. But I have a different plan on that day, I’ll let everyone know when it is confirmed.
