8,140 voices for rabbits. Can you help us reach 10,000?

🐰💜 To everyone who has signed, shared and supported our campaign: thank you.
You have helped a small organisation — one person and two darling rabbits — build an international voice for rabbits.
But our petition has slowed. We gained just 47 signatures between 8 October and 6 November.
The issue has not gone away.
South Africa's draft Rabbit Meat Regulations would provide for commercial rabbit slaughter, including facilities permitted to slaughter up to 2,000 rabbits a day, with no fixed numerical ceiling for high-throughput facilities.
The consultation closed in May 2025. We have not identified a final version of the regulations in the official sources checked.
We are asking South Africa to reject the expansion of commercial rabbit slaughter and strengthen protection for domesticated rabbits.
We have 8,140 supporters. Just 1,860 more would take us to our next milestone of 10,000.
Could you help us reach one new person?
❤️ If you have already signed, please introduce this petition to a friend, animal welfare organisation or South African community that may not know about it.
