Fifty-five delegates from SouthAfrica attended CITES CoP18 in Geneva, Switzerland. 

South Africa supported the proposals to downgrade the white rhino so that it can be hunted in Namibia. South Africa supported Swaziland’s proposal to trade internationally in rhino horn. 

South Africa’s proposal to increase the hunting quota of the black rhino in South Africa was successful. 

We do not know how many rhino are left in South Africa. How can we possibly support proposals to hunt rhino and open the international trade in rhino horn?

South Africans and the world has the right to know how many rhino are left in South Africa.
