Thank you for supporting our petition to stop the closure of the Brian Hore Unit

Around 550 people have already signed our petition to stop Manchester City Council from closing the Brian Hore Unit, Manchester's much-loved alcohol and mental health treatment centre. And the numbers are building by the minute. A massive thank you to you all. Your signatures have been a huge morale-booster for the Unit's service users who have been campaigning against its closure for the last seven weeks. The comments posted by supporters and service users alike are particularly moving – a testament to the strength of feeling felt for the Brian Hore Unit and the life-saving service it provides. We have two and a bit days left to persuade the Council and its incoming service provider CRI to change their minds, redraw their plans and allow the Unit to get on with the good work it has delivered to the people of Manchester for the last 42 years. An interim court hearing due for today (March 29) was postponed until tomorrow (March 30) due to a power outage at Manchester Civil Justice Centre. We'll keep you posted on the outcome. In the meantime, please share the petition to stop the closure of the Brian Hore Unit. The proposed closure date is this Thursday, March 31, so we need all the signatures we can get! You can keep up to date with developments as they happen on the Save the Brian Hore Unit Facebook page or the Friends of the Brian Hore Unit website. Thank you once again Seamus Quinn Chairman The Campaign to Save the Brian Hore Unit
