Since the movement launched in February, we’ve seen absolutely astounding progress in this fight. There are too many to name in a short update, but here are just a few highlights:
- The Traffickinghub Animated Video went viral and has racked up at least 33 million views since its release, with even celebrities promoting it.
- Governmental leaders in the US and Canada have called for federal investigations into Pornhub.
- I traveled to Washington, D.C. and presented a thorough evidence-based case against Pornhub to lawmakers and influential governmental changemakers.
- Civil attorneys have joined the fight and are working behind the scenes.
- Protestors have gathered outside Porhub/MindGeek offices in both Montreal, Canada and Los Angeles, California.
- Artists from around the world have created eye-opening art pieces for countless viewers, some of which will be featured in the International - - Slavery Museum in Liverpool, England.
- New survivors have continued to come forward and share their stories of exploitation on Pornhub.
- The movement has been featured in over 300 articles, including major news outlets!
Pornhub has been scrambling in recent weeks to hide the evidence of their crimes and move their assets, but there is nothing they can do that will allow them to escape being held accountable.
It took even less time to reach two million signers than it did to reach the first million—let’s keep spreading this message until the public pressure is so strong around the world that Pornhub can’t withstand it.
The vast exposure we’ve gained is without a doubt making an impact.
Every signature added and video view gained is driving us toward the tipping point of social pressure at which justice will be served against Pornhub.
