The United Nations World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence is 18 November. We have already organised for the Bolte Bridge in Melbourne to be lit up in blue, the colour of rights of the child, on 18 November 2025. To help highlight the themes of prevention, protection and healing from child sexual abuse with all Victorians. We're working with Sexual Assault Services Victoria, and the National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse to achieve this.
We have twice asked the Hon Michelle Rowlands MP, the federal attorney general and minister for federal responses to child sexual abuse, to also request that Australian Parliament House in Canberra, also be lit up on the day. (photo as an example, above).
So far we haven't received a reply.
You can help us by also contacting Ms Rowlands too, by the following contact link, and we have provided suggested wording below.

Dear the Hon Michelle Rowlands MP,
I am seeking your support for the Australian Parliament House in Canberra being lit up on 18 November 2025. To acknowledge the United Nations World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence.
Information on the importance of this day, is available via the following link.
https://www.un.org/en/observances/child-sexual-exploitation-prevention-and-healing-day
With more than one in three girls, and one in five boys sexually abused in Australia, this is an opportunity to have a national focus and conversation.
To raise public awareness of those affected by child sexual abuse, and the need to prevent and eliminate child sexual exploitation, abuse, and violence, including online and offline.
I look forward to your response, thank you.

Thank you to all our supporters! We can make a difference, by ensuring government - State and Federal - and society, understand the sexual abuse and exploitation of children is a violation of human rights and a public health problem. With significant consequences for individuals, families and society.
