Earlier today, SEGA announced a new update to Sonic Mania, titled "Sonic Mania Plus" which will be available this summer both digitally & physically. The update includes two new playable characters, Mighty The Armadillo & Ray The Flying Squirrel, both of which are characters we haven't seen playable since the 90's! The update will also feature a new Encore Mode which offers new ways to explore each of the game’s acts and will come with some unspecified visual changes, as well as a four-player competetive mode. The physical release will include a holographic slip cover and a reversible sleeve designed to mimic Sega Genesis/Mega Drive box. A 32-page art book will also be included as part of the package. That'll be available the same time the update launches this summer & will retail for $29.99.
