Hello all! 

It's been a crazy 3 weeks. Here's the run down. 

1. The department of education DENIED the appeal on September 23rd (I didn't know until October 3rd) We still kept fighting to get any form of funding. 

2. The National Center for Deaf Blind issued a sub-award grant for WDBTAP on October 7th. 

This funding is for 1 year only. It will expire September 30th of 2026. 

This gives us 1 year to secure new funding at either the Federal or State level. 

3. We are keeping this petition open to show to lawmakers and administrators how important this program is for these kids!

Thank you all for your support. I have been told time and again by the people fighting for this issue that this petition made a difference and affected the outcome. Our outcome was NOT what everything we were hoping for, but it keeps the programs running and gives us time!! 

What now?!?
