Shortly, very shortly indeed, the planning application from Flamingoland will go before the decision makers are The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. While this campaign has been about the sale, the Friends of Drumkinnon park have been campaigning to have the planning application refused. I ask that you consider joining their Facebook group and to go there to find out more from their perspective what dangers the planning proposal is going to present to the area in terms of lost access, removing time-honoured haunts of the locals and visitors alike and the threats to common land and rights we have enjoyed for centuries. Theirs is more focussed on what the effects will be on the ground and locally, and the administrator of the group has real passion for the ecology and heritage of Balloch and its districts. Please support them in their efforts to raise awareness, promote natural heritage, ancient rights, and alternative futures by going there, joining and lending your voice and support at this crucial time. Balloch needs you, more than ever. If you agree that this sale does not go ahead, please also lend your voice to opposing the planning proposal and if you can, assist in bringing forward sensitive and justifiable use of this land for the benefit of Balloch, her inhabitants and the millions of visitors to come. Thank you.
