Solly crossed 4 lanes of traffic on Elizabeth Avenue on 26/09/2019 near King Street intersection and took refuge in our gum tree just 5 houses up from the corner.   He was safely returned by Moreton Bay Koala Rescue to his home behind Frawley Fields following a health check.

He then got into trouble a year later (2020) when he fell from a tree on the Golf Course (Clontarf), suffering a fractured elbow.  He underwent surgery at RSPCA followed by rehabilitation, and eventually was returned to Hays Inlet Reserve on 10 April 2021 where we hope he is living his best life.  It's up to us now to do everything we can to protect Solly's home (and his family and mates) and to keep them safe from urbanisation.
