I wanted you to know that Brooklyn Community Board 13 (CB13) is having an upcoming forum for the community to share their thoughts and opinions on the proposed casino at 6:00pm this Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Gargiulo’s Restaurant, 2911 W 15th Street (between Mermaid/Surf Avenues). There will be a rally outside before the meeting of people like you who are also saying NO to a casino. Feel free to attend. Bring friends. Bring neighbors. Bring signs.

And if you cannot make it to the CB13 event on Wednesday, don’t worry. In order for this proposal to move forward the New York State Gaming Commission will be holding formal public hearings where we will need everyone to testify so the State can hear the views of the community. We will really need your help getting everyone to show up once the Public Hearing is scheduled. That’s where we will all be heard by the decision-makers directly.
